How I Use Facebook

Facebook is the most popular social networking website. As it’s been said that if Facebook were a country, it would have been the third largest country in the world in terms of the population of it. Most of the people I know, they are all obsessed for Facebook. However, I am a little different. I don’t use Facebook for socializing; the only reason why I use Facebook is networking. I used to love it in my high school days, but subsequently, my interest towards Facebook just died. I used to be on Facebook literally 24/7. People could see my status changing in almost 30 minutes gape. Even when I would be sleeping, I would write on my status “Going to sleep”. In fact if I would wake up in the middle of the night, first thing I used to do was to go to Facebook and update my status, read comments, comment on people’s photos, status, posts and so on. But now, everything has changed. I can’t say it is because now I am a grown up kid. I know a million people who are my age or even older than me, and they are just completely obsessed about.
The reason I changed completely is because I realized it is useless and risky as well. I realized that thanks to Facebook, MSN, Yahoo and all these kinds of technologies, people are actually staying far from each other. I realized that due to Facebook, I was not able to chitchat with my friends in person. I could not go out and walk with them. We would always end up talking on Facebook or other socializing websites. I felt so bad when I realized all this. I felt like losing my friends and all the people whom I could meet in person, but would always prefer chit chatting through these socializing websites and software.
I deactivated my Facebook account and went back to old school life. But subsequently, I started modeling and related fields to it. Now I had to have a Facebook account or such to contact other models and agency people and so on. Therefore, I made a new Facebook account where I only have models, classmates, co-workers and other networking people. However, I didn’t add my best friends to my Facebook account because I don’t want them to be part of my Facebook world, I want them to be part of my real world. Now I have many socializing and networking websites, but they are only there for networking and other such related reasons.
After saying all that above, I want to say that I do like Facebook, through Facebook, I met one of the best people in this world. Subsequently, they became my life and everything. We talked first time because of Facebook and every time I think about that, I want to thank that person who created it because if it weren’t there, I wouldn’t have the person whom I love the most in this world.
Therefore, I have mix reactions for everything and Facebook is just another one of those. I dislike it for certain reasons, but then I complexly adore it for some beautiful memories of my life. As the say, there is nothing perfect in this world. Everything has good and bad things in it. I should say that there are no bad things in Facebook if people use it in a proper way, however, if people make it the most important thing of their lives and express all the secrets of their lives. Always keep it up to date and write all the personal stuff in it, Facebook can be a disaster and can lead you to some serious problems. That is one of the biggest reasons why I dislike it, otherwise, Facebook is good and I personally like it. But I rarely use it, and use it for what it’s made of.
